The science
The Microclimate Ecology & Biogeography (MEB) Network grew out of the SoilTemp initiative and aims to advance global microclimate ecology and biogeography. We connect researchers, ideas, and data to better understand microclimate and its critical role in ecosystems worldwide.
How you can get involved:
🔹 Join one of our active subgroups
Collaborate with like-minded researchers focused on specific microclimate topics. Subgroups co-develop papers, analyze shared datasets, and collectively push the field forward. Our current subgroups include:
-
The Dryland Subgroup
Have an idea for a new subgroup? Feel free to propose one—we’re happy to help you get started!
🔹 Explore our Microclimate Database (MDB)
Learn how to contribute your data or use MDB in your own research. It’s a growing resource designed to support the entire community.
🔹 Join the MEB Scientific Committee
Help shape the future of microclimate science by participating in strategic discussions and community-building efforts.
🔹 Discover our tools and services
We offer high-resolution microclimate maps (coming soon), a curated publication list (coming soon), and other resources to support your work.
We hope you find what you’re looking for—and if not, just reach out. We’re here to help!!
